Small town, Big fun!
Located at the eastern end of scenic Highway 30A, Rosemary Beach, Florida is a master planned community that was first founded in 1995. This town is considered to be a neo-traditional development as it contains a careful blend of single-family homes and quaint businesses that help to promote a small town flair in this unincorporated community.
Rosemary Beach sits on 107 acres of land that is directly on the Gulf of Mexico. It consists of around 500 home sites along with a town center that contains various shops and restaurants. Rosemary Beach also has several green spaces located throughout. Public swimming pools and tennis courts are available for owners of Rosemary Beach real estate to use, and a wooden boardwalk provides easy access to the Gulf shore from anywhere within the town limits.
Rosemary Beach’s town center is a mere five minute walk from any part of town. In fact, automobiles are restricted to only the alleyways behind residential homes. As a result, Rosemary Beach residents enjoy casual strolls along the boardwalk when getting around town and are never bothered the noise that heavy traffic brings. As a result, all that’s heard is the sound of waves lapping gently against the shoreline, and the sound of seagulls soaring over top of the sparkling white sand. The fact that Rosemary Beach ranks high for walkability is attributed to the fact that this is something the town’s founders envisioned when they were planning the community two decades ago.
Perhaps the biggest draw to Rosemary Beach real estate is the beaches. Many homes are located directly on the beach; however, even those that are not are easily within walking distance of it. Since Rosemary Beach is not heavily populated with tourists, residents here are able to walk the beaches without having to fight the crowds that are common in Destin or Panama City. Several “secret paths” provide easy access to the beach, where people can view miles of unspoiled coastland, enjoy the sound and smell of the surf, and feel the gentle gulf breeze on their faces.
A number of retirees have decided to invest in Rosemary Beach real estate because of the relatively mild climate that can be enjoyed year round. In the winter, temperatures rarely get below freezing, even at night. During the afternoon, temperatures can be expected to reach into the 60s on many days. In addition, Florida has the more sunny days than any other state. As a result, walking along the beach is pleasant to do any time of the year, and can be a welcome escape at the end of a long hard day of work.
Rosemary Beach real estate has been planned so as to allow residents to easily interact with one another. The majority of homes here have a welcoming front porch where people can not only enjoy the gulf breeze and sunshine, but socialize with their neighbors as well. Residents often gather at the town hall or post office to share stories and talk, or they get together at one of the restaurants or coffee shops to enjoy the food and atmosphere.
Although Rosemary Beach real estate affords people the chance to live a casual lifestyle, it’s not just retirees that decide to take up residence here. Town residents include everyone from young singles to working professionals who are raising children; a variety of ethnic groups are represented here as well. This means that Rosemary Beach is a welcoming community for anyone who wants a carefree lifestyle and wants to live in the safe and friendly atmosphere this town affords.
Rosemary Beach has a small town appeal, and is destined to stay that way since development here is limited. Investing in Rosemary Beach real estate will ensure you have the opportunity to experience the dream of homeownership in a welcoming and scenic community that is also an excellent place to work and raise children.
